Growing Young, Again!

We love the promise of pills. And spend more on the pills that promise longevity than any other, even though most of those pills are untested by the scientific method.
There are about 55,000 such longevity products on the market, and about half of us who live in North America supplement with a least one pill per day.
The other way we try to live longer is by dieting. In one recent survey, 56 percent of women said they wanted to diet in order to live longer. Though a recent meta-study of nearly a hundred studies revealed that people in stage one obesity were only 5 percent more likely to die than those who were lean and mean.
What can on do to live a longer life? While studies show that eating a lot of fruits and vegetables can cut mortality risk by roughly 23 percent, and exercising can cut the risk by 23 percent, the real key to longevity may not be in what you eat, or what you do with what you eat, but rather with whom you eat. And that single factor might reduce one’s risk of mortality by upwards of 45 percent. This leads us to ask…
