Over 2,500 years ago, Hippocrates said, “Let thy food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”
Does Hippocrates admonition ring true today? After all, so much of our food now comes wrapped in plastic from convenience stores, and the medicines we get from big corporations are miraculous, at least, so they say.
But what if?
What if we could find food to help us stay healthy; that would ease and maybe even eliminate pain; would that help us manage the real big trouble?
Where would we find such food? Who would grow it for us? How would they grow it? And…

If it’s expensive and memorable, it’s more likely to be valuable for your health. Controlling for all other factors, class status is a better predictor of health than diet. High status foods are therefore are therefore associated with better health regardless of their physical composition.
