Going Legit in the Cannabis Business

After an 80 year prohibition, cannabis has once again become legal, in some states, at least sort of.
Well, it is still illegal in the United States of America, and will likely remain so until such time as the nation has the will, and means, to break free of the Single Convention Treaty it signed with most other nations of the world to make cannabis illegal forever and ever.
But setting that minor detail aside, cannabis is now legal in some of our more independent-minded states, like California.
That it is now legal means that all those that have engaged in the illegal cannabis trade may now come out into the sunshine and become legal. “Olly, Olly Oxen Free!
But wait, how does one go about turning one’s illegitimate cannabis business into a legitimate business. Where does one sign up for the license? What are the rules and regulations with which one must comply? How much money will it cost?
Bottom line: Is legitimacy going to be worth the investment? And so we ask:
